This isn’t the first time gullibility gets addressed in the book, so you highlighting it was a great reminder about it. The quotes you pull from the book are also really helpful in getting your point across and using yourself as an example of someone who needs to do better when it comes to believing things on the internet is a great motivation to try harder and apply the skills they’re teaching in this book.

Especially with simple searches, like the orange peeling. I got so caught up in the weeds of Verified, since the guide uses such extreme examples most of the time. It’s like, ‘this whole health organization is actually extremely bigoted but you wouldn’t know that if you didn’t SIFT.’ It gets repetitive and only heightens my skepticism for everything. Skepticism, which like you said, is required when absorbing information on the internet, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t trust reliable sources.
