I like your comparison between math and HTML. Personally, it reminds me of the one time I had to take an accounting class which is really just the point where math and computer organization intersect. I also agree with your point that it’s not even that the HTML itself is complicated, it’s the sheer amount of it that’s confusing, especially since in the lesson we pretty quickly went from looking at how to make a simple heading to that full page of code for forms. Also, I too am trying to tell myself how much fun the next assignment will be haha.

Maybe that is why I am so intrigued by html and css. I definitely relate to not enjoying the tedium it has brought to my writing process. It might be better to write everything out in a google doc first, since it might make it easier to envision the final result. Besides the tedium, I have genuinely enjoyed watching how each piece constructs the final file. There is just something so novel about this whole process. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the usual work I do.
