Especially the bit about how you shouldn’t just rely on either emotions or logic to deduce if something is true or not. I’m so focused on making sure that I’m not believing everything I read but I know that some things I look at really make just act before I think. Working on a good balance between the two is what I’ve gotten from this book. My thoughts aside, I do like the quote you pulled from the book about compellingness. The way you interpreted it is very similar to my own thoughts on it.
