What we learned in Verified helped a lot, but there were points where I was left at somewhat of a dead-end, wondering what I should do or search next. This mostly happened when I was trying to verify more niche searches, but ultimately I think I did pretty well in balancing the verification aspect, as my project required some “loosey-goosey” sources.

I appreciate how you touch on the emotions that are brought up while ingesting content online, because it often provides a good starting point when trying to conduct research. Like my Verification Quest, and the topic you discuss for your next project, the research often comes after having that emotional reaction to something.

It is really difficult to stay “on topic” and not stray away from the claim so much, especially in a project like this where we get to choose a topic of our liking. Your topic especially has a LOT of information that is interesting, but doesn’t serve the purpose of the assignment.
It is really frustrating to deal with social media posts when writing about an online phenomenon. For my Verification Quest, I have relied heavily on archival websites for the Tweets I write about in my posts. I generally take screenshots or download videos when I find them, since it is so easy for them to be deleted. The problem is trying to find them once I need them!
